Home > Harrogate | The beautiful town of Harrogate with its historic spa, Victorian buildings and general air of sophistication, is a popular destination for many visitors all year round. The Royal Pump Room and the Turkish Baths can be found in the town centre and serve as a constant reminder of the town's rich history. Close by, Newby Hall and Fountains Abbey are major tourist attractions. Also, there is a large influx of business people who regularly attend the town's impressive Conference Centre. | |
 | Set in the idyllic Harlow Carr Botanical Gardens, the magical [Garden Room] restaurant and cafe offers top-class traditional English food, served with a mediterranean twist in a relaxed atmosphere. Local and seasonal specialities hold pride of place on the menu.
The light, spacious [Attic] has all the charm you would expect but with a very crisp, clean, sophistication about it. The food, wine and service are of the highest standard. Recommended for all discerning diners. |
| For excellent Asian cuisine in an authentic and lavish setting visit the [Jinnah], where the food is always delicious and the service impeccable. Alternatively for traditional Bangledeshi and Indian food, try the recently refurbished [Spice4u], who boast a regular clientele of famous footballers, including Mr. Kevin Keegan. Both establishments cater for parties and special occasions, and have take-away facilities. |
| Harrogate's oldest Italian restaurant is housed in an original Methodist Church, later used as a theatre and finally established as [Pinocchio's] in 1976. To this day, it is still a family run business. It is very child-friendly and has an attractive and unusual decor combined with a good atmosphere. Pinocchio's has an extensive continental menu, with large portions, catering for most tastes.
A trip to Harrogate would not be complete without a trip to [Betty's], the North's most famous and sophisticated tea-rooms. |
