Ilkley
Home > Ilkley | A spa town over the river Wharfe, close to the well known "Ilkley Moor", Ilkley was an Iron Age settlement taken over by the Romans who named it Olicana. A nice town for shops, restaurants and beautiful scenery. Visit Manor House Museum, which was built on the site of a Roman fort. Nowadays the ground floor contains displays presenting a lot of local history. Why not sample the healing water at White Wells, it is free to those who bring their own containers! | |
| A visit to Ilkley is not complete without a meal at the famous [Box Tree] French restaurant. Having been awarded three AA Rosettes for their outstanding menu and service, a visit to the Box Tree is a real treat. |
