Malton
Home > Malton | Ancient site of a Roman fort Derventio, dating from the 1st century, Malton is now a thriving market town. There is plenty to do with Castle Howard, Eden Camp, Kirkham Abbey and Flamingoland all within easy reach. Ideal as a place to stay for all the family. | |
| Malton's newest restaurant is the excellent [Thompsons Fish Restaurant] at 46 Market Place. Formerly known as Tuddle Lane it is now part of a successful group of fish restaurants. You will always be welcome for traditional fish and chips together with daily specials; the restaurant is open lunchtimes and evenings every day (see their web site www.thompsonsfishrestaurants.com).
[The Queens's Head] is a traditional country pub which has recently been converted into a cantonese restaurant. Still serving traditional ales, the menu now offers a taste of the Orient. There are a good selection of eateries in Malton. For traditional Balti style cuisine, set in comfortable surroundings, why not visit [Malton Spice], the staff are always friendly and obliging. |
